Dear All,
Well what a few months it has been for me.
So much has happened and I feel that I have changed so very much from the inside out, in so many ways, that it is sometimes difficult to express this to family and friends. Trying to do so has seen them look at me quite aghast at times ha ha ha!!
But just what is it?
What is this strange feeling?
It actually feels like my cell structure itself is different in some ways, though I understand that this sounds quite ridiculous. I literally and figuratively feel like a new version of myself in every way.
I just know that I am so very different from the woman I was 6 months ago. And vastly different from the person I was 6 months prior to that.
The initial change was something that I really worked at, through many hours of self reflection, spiritual guidance, seminars and soul searching. It was a change that I sought out and activated through conscious choice and decision making on a daily basis.
Change brought to fruition via hours of ritual and prayer and seeking.
And then something strange happened.
Hello hello hello and welcome back to the ABTY Blog,
As most of you would know I recently had the opportunity to spend a full two weeks in the vast red rocks of Sedona. Seeking my soul and expanding my sense of self.
It was one of the most incredible experience I have ever had and along the way I came across many shamans, mystics, teachers, healers and “medicine men”.
I participated in numerous spiritual activities and was lucky enough to have some wonderful conversations with some very learned people, who were truly connected to the land and their specific culture in a very special way.
I walked among the red rocks and marvelled at the grandness of it all.
I contemplated life and my position in it.
And finally I wondered just what it means to be included in such a group.
Just what it means to be considered a shaman or medicine man.
And then a strange thought came to me.
We are all Medicine Women and Medicine Men. Read More
Hello once more and welcome to the blog,
Here at A Bridge To You, I am constantly sharing not only my own thoughts, but also words of wisdom from others that come my way. These are usually sayings, quotes or theories, that really impact upon me in a meaningful way and stir me to examine their content and then pass them on.
And today is one of those days.
I just adore this quote from Abraham [ via Esther and Jerry Hicks ]
When you read it – let it settle within you and let your own thoughts arise to meet it.
If it resonates and touches your heart, then it is a message you should really pay attention to.
So here we go:
Hello to all and welcome to the blog,
Today’s food for thought is short, sweet and simple.
And it goes something like this….
Why is it that as a society we seem to embrace all the angst we can find and then treat any joy filled person or situation with suspicion and trepidation?
What reason could we, as a collective, possibly have for choosing this state of affairs?
Why do we gravitate to the angst and push away the JOY? Read More
Hello to all and welcome back to the ABTY Blog,
As I have mentioned quite a few times lately, I often get the most amazing insights whilst witnessing the most mundane of events. And this little episode, on an inner city Sydney train last week, was no different.
To set the scene I will describe my train journey on this particular day, which went something like this.
I was sitting on the train chatting to the ladies next to me and we were all having quite the laugh. The ticket inspectors happened past, and we were joking that having as whole heap of prams in one area was certainly a good way to avoid having your train ticket scrutinised, as it would be difficult for them to negotiate a path through all the prams.
There were three train inspectors and I had actually been asked to show my ticket by two of them at different times, which made for a whole other discussion and much hilarity ensued.
I was thinking how lovely it was to chat with everyone on the train, as opposed to witnessing everyone just sitting there, listening to an i-pod, checking Facebook, reading their books or otherwise trying to ignore every other sign of human life on the train.
It was a really nice change.
Then after a few minutes the ticket inspectors had to leave to make their way through the other carriages. So we bid them a cheery farewell and went back to our general chitter chatter!
About 10 minutes past…..
And then – it happened…… Read More
Welcome to all and I trust you will enjoy today’s blog,
Recently I have become acutely aware of the inability some people have to see any sort of possibility in their lives.
That is – they seem to exist in this void where nothing is possible.
They live in a particular situation and/ or circumstance and that will never change.
They use words like ” There is no point”
Well - if that is you – then let me assure you, that you are dead right.
So you think = how it is
And let me doubly assure you, that there will certainly be no point at all, if you can not see it. Read More
Hello to all and welcome back to the ABTY Blog,
As my regular readers know, I have been on a journey of discovery for the past few weeks and this has included attending a number of workshops. And during these workshops I have had some incredibly insightful moments – many of which I will be sharing with you over the next few weeks.
And this particular insight was for me truly profound, as I have seen this situation repeated over and over and over again in recent years with various friends, acquaintances and even strangers [ yes - people often pour out their hearts to me in the oddest of places - bars, cafes, buses, trains, aeroplanes etc ha ah ha ] - all over the world.
So it is clearly a big issue.
And the issue is this one question:
Stay and Pay – Or Walk Away? Read More
Hello again and welcome to the ABTY Blog,
For those of you new to the blog, it is a place where I strive to simply present concepts, that allow you to reflect upon your life, your sense of self and your place in The Universe. With the aim being to help you find a balance within, that allows you to present the truth of who you are to the world with total JOY and confidence.
Some ideas you may find simple to grasp and others may simply not appeal.
You may disagree or agree with my perspective.
There is no right or wrong.
All that matters is that you reflect upon the blog and come to a place of discovery, acceptance and joy for the person that you are.
That is -you are simply invited to read and reflect – and discover a little more about what matters to you through doing so.
So for today I pose the question:
” If you can not see it, is it really there?” Read More
Hello to everyone and welcome back to the ABTY Blog,
Today’s blog is really short and sweet, as I simply want to share with you a little prayer I wrote recently.
I use the word “prayer” lightly and with some trepidation actually, as I find it is a term that can be loaded with a lot of expectation.
But for me – a prayer is simply a thought or feeling that I wish to send out into the Universe and amplify with a whole lot of love and good intentions.
If you wish to call it something else that resonates better with you – then please do.
But here it is – for you to read, ponder, share, feel and send out to the The Universe yourself.
You may even send it out each and every day, if it is something that really connects with you.
Or you may be inspired to write your own?
As you read through it – I encourage you to just take your time and gently come to the feeling that presents itself alongside the words. And then project that heart-felt emotion out into the world, as you speak the words out loud or quietly within your soul.
There are no rules. Just do what is right for you.
Go slowly. Take your time. Do not rush.
Feel the words. Become the words and embody the prayer.
So here it is:

Hello to all and welcome back to the blog,
As any of you who are regulars to the ABTY Blog will know, I have recently spent two weeks in the incredible surrounds of Sedona, Arizona, USA in what could only be described as a Soul Journey and Spiritual Quest of some magnitude.
And the results of this exploration of self, have far surpassed what I could ever have imagined or dreamed.
To say I feel like an empty well that has been refilled to overflowing, would be an understatement. And I truly feel a huge amount of gratitude for all those people, places and experiences that contributed to this awakening, liberation and rebalancing of sorts.
So – over the upcoming weeks and months, I anticipate that many of my blogs will be predicated by a variety of experiences, thoughts and observations I encountered during this time.
And here is the first “learning” that really struck a chord with me.
