Dear All,
Well it has certainly been a very long time since I have written a blog, so for those of you who have been sending me messages wondering when the next one would be – I do apologise. The simple truth, is that I have simply not felt at all compelled to write.Until this very moment.
And being that ABTY is all about spreading a message of doing and being and becoming ” what is right for you” – I didn’t want to force myself to write, as I truly felt that would be somehow disingenuous.
So here I am sitting in my hotel room and I thought – I think I have something to say again.
I guess with the Xmas Rush and constant buzzing around, I have actually put myself in a different place this year for Xmas.
A place of peace and calm and tranquility.
A place where I have no obligations at all.
A place where I can just simply ” be”.
And whilst I have a wonderfully close family whom I love deeply, I knew instinctually that this is what I needed this year. This is what my soul craved. Space and freedom and time – to just – be.
And from this perspective, I am witnessing so many people around me who are bound by obligation. Set on a whirling course, that they seem to have no control over. Ping ponging from one commitment or engagement to another – feeling obliged and frantic and rushed – and caught up in some sort of weird hurly burly.
So I guess what I am wanting to say today is simply this.
If this is you?
If you are caught up in the madness that can be Xmas?
Just stop for a moment and in this final week, schedule in at least one half hour break that is simply for you.
Your Xmas Gift to You!
Just you.
30 minutes to sit quietly and reflect upon the year gone by.
30 minutes to take in the magic that can be Xmas – a time when we get to show the people we love that we care. A time when we can throw love around with reckless abandon.
30 minutes when you can just stop and look at yourself and rejoice in the glory that is you. Appreciate all the things you love about being you. Take time to bathe in the satisfaction of all your have achieved and accomplished and enjoyed since last Xmas.
30 minutes to drink in the sights, smells, sounds and JOY of the Xmas Season when we really do choose to extend GOOD WILL to all men. A time when we seem to come together collectively, to focus on sharing love, peace and JOY.
30 minutes to revel in the collective possibility of humanity moving to a new paradigm where this feeling of love to all is the norm – all the time. This time of peace and carolling and elves and Santa and cheeriness.
30 minutes to just BE.
And then – go upon your Merry Way……..back into the hurly burly of the Festive Season.
I truly believe that giving yourself this little gift of time and reflection can help you to recharge and reboot for the Xmas Chaos.
So – that is it really.
I just wanted to check in and wish you all the most Merry Xmas.
A Xmas that makes you feel grateful to be alive.
A Xmas full of all the people and things you love.
A Xmas full of self love and self appreciation and self care.
A Xmas full of JOY, COMPASSION, PEACE, HUMANITY and GOOD WILL.
In short – a Xmas to remember.
As for me – I can not tell you how much I have enjoyed being back at the keyboard writing this post.
So – I trust The Universe that it is a well timed blog, and something that some of you out there needed to read in this particular space and time.
Tis’ the season to be jolly.
Enjoy.
