My wife and I signed up for the difficult trek in Peru to Macchu Pichu not knowing who else would be in the group.  Christine was in our group of six trekkers and what a joy she was.  Always smiling, always upbeat, always with an encouraging word, she was an inspiration to all of us. Since that memorable time together Christine has maintained contact with us and we with her.  She has been to our home in Vermont, USA for a Peru group reunion.  After my wife died last year Christine sent the most thoughtful remembrance of our time together. I treasure our friendship and I know that, in spite of the enormous distance between us, she will always be a thoughtful friend in times of challenge.
